Video: Public Plan Deception - It's not about choice.

Via Ed Morrissey at Hot Air:

The guys at Verum Serum strike again with this new video of Democrats and their think-tank allies talking about the real goal of the “public plan” in ObamaCare, the new health plan getting rolled out in Congress this month.  The White House says the plan will “keep private insurers honest,” but it seems the dishonesty comes from the Oval Office and Capitol Hill:

update: here is video and text of Obama's speech today to the American Medical Association and this is the closest thing I can find to a "working draft" of Obama's public health insurance option. Here is a wikipedia article explaining the single-payer health care model.

The bottom line is that the various models proposed by the Obama administration end up seriously threatening a free market approach to providing Americans with affordable, responsible health care.

I have closely monitored the unfolding of this proposed health care plan and the disaster it will become if it is passed. The deceiver himself talks about how it might take us up to 10 years or 15 years to get fully dependent on the public option of health care, but I think it will be a lot quicker than that. I think there will be severe pressure applied from the White House and the democrats in Congress to private insurers to give in. There will also be pressure cleverly disguised (so called incentive programs) to sound appealing to the people to get them to seek this public option.
