Sean Hannity:
For weeks we have called on President Obama to fire his safe school czar Kevin Jennings. And now 53 House Republicans are joining the cause and demanding that Jennings be ousted from his position at the Department of Education.
Leading the effort in the House is Iowa Congressman Steve King, who on this very program has called for Jennings' removal. The letter signed by King and his colleagues was sent to President Obama Thursday. It says, "Kevin Jennings cannot gain the approval of parents who want their children safe and their schools drug free. You should replace him with someone who has a record of educating children in a safe and moral environment."
Congratulations to Congressman King and the 52 other House Republicans who are paying attention to this very important issue. I just wish the mainstream media and the president would do the same.
WorldNetDaily reports:
The man chosen by the Obama administration to head the Department of Education's Office of Safe Schools was an activist with the radical pro-homosexual organization Act Up, known for its aggressive badgering of those who don't support the homosexual lifestyle, according to a new report.
Mass Resistance, a pro-family organization in Massachusetts that has battled over homosexual agenda points there, has posted online a report and video documenting Kevin Jennings' participation in the extremist organization.
The video shows Jeff Davis, Jennings' "partner," addressing a banquet and saying of Jennings, "He was a member of Act Up. Act Up! So it's like – you know – here's a big gay activist. BIG gay activist!."
The New York Times on the 53 congressmen and women who have demanded Jennings be fired:
Mr. Jennings’s critics say his career’s focus on gay students ill-equips him for the broader portfolio of his job as deputy assistant secretary of the safety office, which oversees initiatives against guns and other threats.
And they disagree more broadly with his approach to talking about homosexuality, especially among pre-pubescent children. To some, Mr. Jennings’s efforts to combat bias sound like encouraging homosexuality.
In his laudatory preface to “Queering Elementary Education,” Mr. Jennings wrote, “We must address antigay bigotry and we must do it as soon as students start going to school.”
The volume includes an essay titled “Why Discuss Sexuality in Elementary School?”
The Washington Times has issued another editorial, which concludes:
Advocating the indoctrination of kindergarten children based on anecdotal evidence or flawed science isn't Mr. Jennings' worst offense. But it's certainly not what Americans expect from a White House "safe schools czar" who is responsible for making policy decisions that impact children's safety.
